Learning is Constant

Amanda has been an artisan in many mediums. Originally as a costume maker in Toronto theatre; an Ottoman designer and builder; and also a mosaic wall tile designer and builder. Now she is creating mosaic sculptures using fiberglass to build three-dimensional forms that are fragile and translucent, but strong and lightweight. She cuts stained glass and smalti to create the right colour, texture and feel to her unique pieces.

Amanda is a founding organizer of Ontario Mosaic Artists. OMA was established in 2020 by 6 artists, who wanted to promote contemporary mosaic art and mosaic artists from all around Ontario. OMA had their premier show Andamento in 2021, and their next exhibition in October 2022, Putting the Pieces back Together.

Amanda lives in both Toronto and Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada
